Privacy policy

What data Vivo Latam uses, what it needs it for, and what choices you can make about it.

Current version: September 16, 2026

Who is responsible, and contact

Vivo Latam SAS de CV runs the Vivo Latam real-estate marketplace and decides how the data needed to provide its services is handled. The platform is aimed at the El Salvador market.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, use the official WhatsApp +503 7653 1000 or the privacy section of My account.

Data we may process

We process only the information needed for the function you request:

  • Identity and account: name, email, phone number, protected credentials and verification status.
  • Activity: favourites, searches, history, messages, offers, visits and preferences.
  • Listings: property data, photographs, location, documentation and relationship with the advertiser.
  • Professional use: agency, team, permissions, portfolio, contacts, projects and audited activity.
  • Technical operation: IP address, device, session, security logs, errors and abuse prevention.
  • Contracting: the product chosen, billing and payment status. Vivo Latam does not show full card numbers.

What we use data for

We use data to create and protect accounts, publish and moderate listings, show results, save preferences, connect interested parties with advertisers, handle messages, offers and visits, manage contracted services, respond to requests, prevent fraud and comply with applicable obligations.

Marketing communications require a separate choice where applicable. You can withdraw that choice without losing access to essential features.

Legal basis for processing

Processing may rely on performing the service you requested, your consent, compliance with a legal obligation, or a legitimate interest in keeping the platform secure and improving it, as long as it does not override your rights.

Salvadoran law recognises rights over the processing of personal data. You can consult the Law for the Protection of Personal Data.

Who we share data with

A request about a property is shared with the advertiser or the responsible agency so they can respond to it. An agency's administrators only access data for their own organisation and team, according to their permissions.

Providers of authentication, hosting, storage, maps, email, messaging, fraud prevention, payments and support may also be involved. They receive only the data needed for their function and are subject to access and confidentiality controls.

Retention

We keep data for as long as the account or relationship is active, and for as long as needed to handle requests, security, audits, defending claims and legal obligations. Periods depend on the type of data and the status of the transaction.

When an account is closed, we delete or anonymise what is no longer needed. Some records may stay blocked while an obligation or an open dispute exists.

Your rights

You can request access, rectification, cancellation, objection, portability, restriction or blocking where applicable. You can also withdraw consent for the future.

Send the request from My account or through the official channel. To protect you, Vivo Latam may ask for identity verification before revealing or changing data.

Information security

We apply separation by organisation, permissions by role, protected sessions, encryption for sensitive data, audit logs and controls against unauthorised access. No system removes all risk.

If you notice unusual access, change your password, close your other sessions and contact Vivo Latam.

Cookies and local storage

The platform uses cookies or equivalent storage that are necessary for the session, security, preferences and keeping forms working across steps. These functions are not used to sell your data.

Non-essential measurement or advertising tools, if enabled, must offer an upfront choice and a way to withdraw it.

Minors

Accounts for publishing, offering or contracting are aimed at people with legal capacity. If we detect data from a minor processed without valid authorisation, we may block the account and delete the information where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We will publish the updated version and its date. If a change significantly affects how data is used or a choice you already made, we will communicate it within the platform or through a channel associated with your account.

If any clause is unclear, do not proceed with a transaction. Contact Vivo Latam and ask for an explanation before agreeing to anything.
