Taxes & fees
Does El Salvador have an annual property tax?
El Salvador does not currently levy a recurring annual property tax on real estate. Instead, buyers pay a one-time transfer tax at the time of purchase (see our closing-costs answer for how Vivo Latam's calculator models it), and owners in some developments or municipalities may owe separate service or maintenance fees. Confirm any municipal fees that apply to a specific property with the seller or a notary before buying.
