How much down payment do I need to buy a home in El Salvador?
There isn't one fixed number. Vivo Latam's mortgage calculator lets you test a down payment anywhere from 5% to 50% of the price, because the minimum a bank will actually accept depends on the property, the loan product and your profile. A larger down payment lowers your monthly payment and total interest — try a few different percentages in the calculator before talking to a bank.
